ABOUT ME
Scottish based aviation photographer Andy Sheppard, born in May 1981, attended his first Airshow at the age of three at RAF Leuchars in Fife. By the age of eleven Andy had acquired his first SLR camera and took his first aircraft image Some seven years later. Aviation has proved to be so much more than a hobby but a way of life...............With a passionate love for aviation, flying and photography, Andy dedicates almost all his spare time capturing aircraft in varied enviroments. Today Andy operates with a complete Digital SLR range of Nikon Cameras and Lenses and endures all weathers to get worthwhile images from all over the country.
Working in Aviation for eight years Andrew has built many special relationships with crews from all over the world. With great communicational skills and vast understandings of operational tasking's. Andy has had many Pleasurable
working experiences with an array of aircrews all around the globe.
Today Andy is currently working on a number of projects, (both Civilian and Military) with an impressive portfolio and large amount of published work in numerous Aviation magazines and Journals such as Aircraft Illustrated, Airforces Monthly, Air International, Aviation News, Airliner World, Combat Aircraft, Flypast and Flight International.

Andy has to date flown photographic sorties with the Royal Danish Air Force, Red Arrows, and Royal Navy Blackcats display teams as well as flying regular military training sorties with Hawk T1s, Fa20s and Fleet Air Arm Helicopters including Seaking and Lynx. Additionally Andy has also spent time with the Royal Navy flagship; Aircraft Carrier - HMS Illustrious.
Private, Civilian and General Aviation flying has lead to photographic sorties with Tigermoths, Piper Cubs and Cessna aircraft to name but a few.
